Hearing the sad news of my friend Rodney passing has really gotten me thinking more about alot of things. It also has me thinking back as well. I saw an approriate video on youtube today about memorable game nights which brough back fond memories. Here's my post of mine.

There were so many memorable gaming nights back when me and my brother used to hang out with our friends and sleep over on the weekends in the 90's when we competed in everything from Street Fighter 2 to Te...

Taking the Throne

Posted by jokatech on July 13, 2014 at 1:10 AM Comments comments (0)

I stated plainly that Alvarez would take the throne officially with his win over Lara. Well, he won the fight. Let me explain what I mean by taking the thone. I don't mean to sidestep Mayweather, as I still feel he is the face of the sport and the number one. However, I said before that Canelo is far better than the knucklescraping public can understand. In his fight with Mayweather, I gained respect for him while everyone else, no understanding the dynamics behind the fight, abandoned him as...

The Direction of Crossfit

Posted by jokatech on June 12, 2014 at 5:30 PM Comments comments (0)

I have recently begun training with a crossfit camp locally, and each Sunday we basically hold a bodypart-killing event. I was told to watch the Crossfit introduction seminars by Glassman on Youtube. I find that as usual, anytime there is something progressive, intelligent, and positive, people have a natural inclination to hate it rabbidly and attack it until they can kill it. Glassman is a crude individual in his vernacular and manner to be sure. And he is also very out of shape, which is q...

Finer Things

I wanted to discuss some things of interest and concern to me in this blog. Particularly, I'm concerned about spiritual music and professional craft.

First, I have to begin with what I notice in the secular work environment. Come this January of 2015, the state will require that all MRI and CT technologist posess a bachelor degree- not necessarily to be of radiologic origins. Basically, they want the aesthetics of observing a degree attached to the technologist for de...

Proven Right

When I've said that people are simple minded and cater to simple minded things in the past, it has always resulted in an uproar of anger. But, does that change the truth? Let's see.

You know when you watch that B-level film you regrets spending money on, and you get to that scene that encases everything that makes it a B film? The one where the acting by everyone goes from horrible to just falling apart? That's what I witnessed last night in...

Sad American Stupidity

Posted by jokatech on April 13, 2014 at 1:30 AM Comments comments (0)

Alright here is another entry. This one is pertaining to sports. I just watched the Pacman vs. Bradley 2 fight. The fight was more action packed than the first one in its own ways with more explosive offense and defense from both men at times in the fight. Pacman took a deserved Unanimous decision this time around, but something bothered me the whole fight. I listened to the American media coverage with Max Kellerman and the crew. The closest to sane was Max. All of the other media members sh...

The True Boxing Savant

Posted by jokatech on March 21, 2014 at 7:55 AM Comments comments (0)

In the history of the sport of boxing, increasingly so, gamblers and gangsters have always been known to loom in the background. In movie depictions and even going back to the days of Jack Johnson, they have at times more than directly influenced fights. What I'm going to discuss here, when contemplated over, will make you really think about the integrity of the sport differently.

Boxing is a slight of hand trick, from the business perspectiv...

Mayweather Update- Lottery Won/or Not

Posted by jokatech on March 1, 2014 at 11:40 PM Comments comments (0)

Okay, the results are in. Mayweather has picked Marcos Maidana for his next match on May 3rd this year. Funny thing is there is an uproar that Khan actually won the polls, and yet is passed for Maidana, rendering the lottery a joke. Of course, the mind control campaign has begun. The internet is littered with videos talking about how great of a fight Maidana vs. Mayweather is going to be. I've made my statements clear online, that I will KO the first idiot who complains about the easy ...

Next up for Mayweather

Posted by jokatech on February 17, 2014 at 12:15 AM Comments comments (0)

I didn't really get to touch on the events that followed Mayweather's last pay per view fight. I've mentioned my stance on threads, but I have to fully discuss the pending issues.

Right now, there has supposedly been a lottery that Mayweather has held to "let the fans choose," his next opponent. This is the most laughable thing that I've ever seen, and I've lost alittle respect for Mayweather throughout this process. However, in recent findi...

80's Film Horror Dream

Posted by jokatech on February 12, 2014 at 7:50 AM Comments comments (0)

I had a crazy dream last night. This was actually like a horror film from the 80's. In this dream, there was an outbreak of creatures who looked like the Critters. They carried an infection, that if spread to a human, resulted in almost instant death. It only called for physical contact of any kind. One touch and it's over. My parents took some refugees into what looked like our first house- which was really huge. They modified the house spectacularly with the latest technology. It ...
